iPhone 3GS Launch in India on March 26th and price revealed

So, finally Apple thought that it’s high time to Launch iPhone 3GS in India. And they finally got the point that India is a really good potential market for Mobile Phones. A few days back when i reported that iPhone 3GS will be Launched in India on March 24th, it turned out to be just the Announcement day. And the Launch day was decided to be March 26th 2010. Which somehow coincides with the Launch date of Xperia X10. Strange or marketing Strategy?

Well, Bhrati Airtel with Apple decided to launch Apple iPhone 3GS in India on March 26th. It was announced earlier today by Bharti Airtel.
So, when the Whole of the US is gearing up for iPhone 4G release, Indians will have to welcome the iPhone 3GS.
Well, the Prices are as follows.
iPhone 3GS 16Gb – Rs. 35,500
iPhone 3GS 32Gb – Rs. 41,500

It’s not yet been specified that the 3GS will be locked to the Airtel Sim or not? Although there are less chances that it wouldn’t be. No data plan has been revealed yet.
You can now check the it at the airtel site and it’s now live there.

It’s highly likely that the Other Operators will also get into action and provide the iPhone 3GS at a competitive price. So, let us know if you go for this iPhone 3GS. Well you have a choice of Xperia X10 that is coming on the same day as iPhone 3GS. And as i have already opted for Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 over iPhone 3GS, will keep you posted bout my experiences of it. Stay tuned for more.
