Xperia X10 Vs HTC desire Vs Samsung Galaxy S : Visibility Under Sunlight Screen Test

A Visibilty under SunLight and Low Light test shows that Xperia X10 screen is really good and compares well with Samsung Galaxy S, which has a Super Amoled Screen in comparison to TFT LCD of Xperia X10.
Please be the Judge yourself and decide which one stand out be the best. :)

The Video consists of Sunlight Legibility test of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 vs. HTC Desire vs. Samsung Galaxy S.

To me Xperia X10 wins ( considering that it’s still with a Resolution of 65k colors whereas Samsung Galaxy S is Super Amoled with 16M colors )
Desire is a complete disaster. :P But in Low light conditions it would turn out that Xperia X10 does not have that bright Colors and Contrast Ratio as compared to Amoled screens of Desire and Samsung Galaxy S.

P.S.
Xperia X10 Update is round the Corner and i would let you know as soon as it comes out. Stay Tuned. :)

Do you think after 2.1 update and with 16m colours will there be a much better display [indoor] ?? bright colour ??
as the X10 colour looks dull so

    • Dulness is not due to 64k colors.( In fact it’s not dull, I guess you compared it with an amoled screen. Amoled screens are always brighter than tft’s but then in sun light, they are total crap. )
And it’s not yet confirmed that xperia x10 will get 16m colors with android 2.1 update!

  • I use a Sony Ericsson phone and it has a light detector that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen so that the glare of the screen won’t be too harsh on dark places. That’s why the Xperia has the darkest screen on the low light test. I think it should be taken as a point in favor of Xperia.

Also, you can still adjust the brightness setting of Sony Ericsson phones and the auto adjustment is just right too. It’s never too dark or bright.

    :D

    • I guess you should update it to Android 2.1 and you’ll love the new features and speed of the phone but the auto brightness feature will be not be there ( you can still manually adjust it! ) Search the blog for more info & tutorial on how to update your xepria x10 to Android 2.1, Eclair. :)
