Awesome MIUI Custom Rom for Rooted Xperia X10 with Recovery-Remixed iphone + Android
If you followed my last post where i posted about how to Install Recovery on rooted Xperia X10, then you might be in search of some good Rom’s for your Xperia X10! Well there aren’t many! and out of the available ones none of them are stable or fully functioning!
But if you look at whats coming to Xperia X10, you might get really impatient and want to get your hands on it right now! Yes, i’m talking about MIUI ROM for Xperia X10! If you haven’t yet heard about MIUI ROMs for Android, then i would like to sum it out for you – It’s the goodness of Android + Goodness of iPhone’s iOS remixed into one single ROM!

Now that when you’ve had a look at it on the Xperia X10, i would like to tell you that this ROM is based on Android 2.2.1,Froyo and nothing works on it presently. It even restarts on it’s own at regular intervals. Simply nothing works now for this rom! This seems to be just a Dump of the Original MIUI Rom, but as promised by XDA Dev’s it would be customized for Xperia X10 and we will have a fully functional MIUI ROM for Xperia X10. But if you want to have a look at the Fully Functional MIUI ROM, then please enjoy the Video below! It is MIUI ROM on HTC Desire!
Okay I’ve told you that it doesn’t work but if you still want to try it out on your Xperia X10, please make a backup of your Present ROM Using Recovery. Please read this to Install Recovery on your rooted Xperia X10 with Android 2.1,Eclair-Step by Step Easy Guide
How to Install MIUI Rom on rooted Xperia X10 with Recovery Installed

- Download the MIUI Custom Rom for Xperia X10 and Place it in the root of your SD Card( not inside any folder ).
- Boot into Recovery by Pressing Back Key ( or any Other key ) when you first see Sony Ericsson at the Boot Up.
- Go to Install Custom Zip and Select MIUI_update_signed.zip by pressing the up key and press home button to Install the MIUI ROM.
- If it asks for confirmation, select yes!
- It will Install and revert back to the Same Recovery Menu. Reboot using first Option and then enjoy the First Glimpse of MIUI Rom on Xperia X10.

Thanks for all your efforts to keep our X10 as competitive as any other android phone..
I have a doubt regarding factory reset of X10. As my batter is getting drained out pretty quickly, i am planning to do a factory reset.
If i do that will i lose my paid apps. Do i need to buy them again from market. Please help.
You will have to install them again. And you won’t have to buy them again! It is associated to your Email account.
The rom looks great and speedy on the HTC hopefully there will be no compromise on the xperia x10. I’m definitely looking forward to using it when its released

As mentioned in the post above, it is not at all stable nor any of the functions are working correctly. It would be made stable over time. Watch out for this space for more info on MIUI Rom for Xperia X10.

Can you confirm MULTI TOUCH ZOOM IN (not zoom out) support on new GOOGLE MAPS UPDATE on XPERIA X10 ??
coz I can and mine is not rooted or tweaked in any way.
No! Multi-touch won’t Work until Sony Ericsson decides to push the Multi-touch updates to Xperia X10 Phones.

Go into recovery Menu and restore the backup you made using Recovery.
i have a problme i just instled miui rom but now i cant acces to recovery to backup
when i go to recovery the phone block on the logo sony ericson
Try installing Recovery again using the the step by step tutorial on the blog itself. It should solve your problem.
i realy nees help i can go to recovery mode ( & i have no wifi no 3g)
