Sony Ericsson is improving on Timescape in it’s Xperia Phones as we saw in Xperia Arc that has an improved and much useful Timescape Widget. There is also a big UXP update planned for Xperia X10 owners. But for now, they are expanding the usefulness of Timescape by Plugins to it. If you ever wanted to add your favorite Social Networking site like Linkedin and Foursquare then Sony Ericsson has now made it possible for you.

If you remember, Sony Ericsson Developers were testing the Timescape Plugin with adding Spotify to it through Android market using a simple Test Install. ( It was removed from the Android Market after a while, though! ). But they have come up with Timescape & Mediascape Plugins for you so that you can install them and extend their usefulness according to you wish. Although Mediascape has been dropped from Xperia Arc so don’t expect a lot of plugins for Mediascape in future. But Timescape will get a lot of plguins.

Sony Ericsson was about to release the Timescape and Mediascape SDk to the Developers when they first launched the UXP for Xperia X10. But then something went wrong and they decided to take hold of things and so it’s upto the Soyn Ericsson Dev’s to release the Timescape and Mediascape Plugins. They also have Developed a Timescape and Mediascape Search Plugin. ( One in the center of the pics above! ) So you won’t have to login to Android Market to find those plugins. Just install the Timescape and Mediascape extension search plugin and get the available plguins for your Timescape and Mediascape. Download it now for you Xperia Family phone.
